Description:Forest Hill is an affluent neighbourhood in central Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was originally incorporated as a village in 1923, and later annexed by the City of Toronto in 1967, along with the Village of Swansea. The village was named after the summer home of John Wickson; previously it had been known as Spadina Heights (a name that continued to be applied to the neighbourhood into the twentieth century). Description:Formerly home to a number of elite Toronto families, this is a quiet residential neighbourhood with tree lined one-way streets, dotted with beautiful Victorian homes and mansions; most of them built between 1880 and the early 1900's. Now mostly populated by University of Toronto students, this area has a thriving cultural scene mixed with an eclectic array of coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, galleries and bookstores. This is an excellent place to spend an afternoon.
